King's Team Camp ("KTC") was organized in 2001 and held its first camp in 2002. It is a one-week summer camp for teens (12 thru 15) who are, or have been, in the Foster Care Program.

These teens have experienced abuse and/or neglect, removal from their homes, and placed in foster homes.

If you have a younger child (7 thru 11) interested in going to camp, contact Royal Family Kids via the link:  http://www.arvada.royalfamilykids.org

KTC is a unique Christian camp program specifically designed to address issues these youth might face every day but where no one is forced to accept particular beliefs or religions.  These campers blossom when they understand that their identities are not defined by their past or their circumstances but defined by a God who infinitely values them.  The camp provides a "loving family atmosphere", complete with a camp "Grandpa and Grandma"

Camp Funding:  King's Team Camp is a non-profit, all-volunteer, Christian organization supported by members of a number of Colorado Front Range churchesThe approximate cost for each camper to attend is $500 and 100% of the monies received from various fundraising events, foundations and private donations are used to cover the costs incurred for this camp.  Campers are asked for a nominal $50 registration fee.

Most campers are graduates of Royal Family Kids Camp ("RFKC") http://www.arvada.royalfamilykids.org or referred to our camp through the Jefferson County Foster Care Program.

Other teens in the Denver-Metro Foster Care Program have been accepted since these kids are moved from one home to another and sometimes into different counties.

Graduates of RFKC and returning KTC campers are given first priority to attend camp. Other foster care teens are interviewed by the KTC Staff if space and enough volunteers are available.

The "King" in "King's T-E-A-M" refers to Jesus Christ

The King of all Kings

The "T-E-A-M" is the acronym for "Together Everyone Achieves More"

We share Christ with our campers, teach them about God's love and His plan for their lives.

We hope their experiences at camp will help them better understand how to live God's Plan for their lives.

We also help them prepare to serve at Royal Family Kid's Camp as junior staff and guides after they reach the age of 16.

King's Team Camp Graduates are returning each year to Royal Family Kids Camp to serve as Junior Guides and Junior Staff.

By doing this, they are giving back to kids who are living and experiencing the same type of situations as these youth have.

Our Hopes

Our Hopeis that these teen campers will build relationships with God, other adults and other teens while experiencing God's creation in a safe and wholesome environment.

Our Hope -  is that these campers will develop confidence, trust, and self-esteem through the various camp activities.

Our Hope  - is that these campers will realize that all of us can accomplish so much more (and even great things) when we learn to trust and rely upon God and each other.

Our Hope - is that these campers leave camp with a host of positive memories which can, and will hopefully, last a lifetime.

Our Hope  - is that these campers will realize they cannot change their pasts but they can make wise decisions for better futures.

Our Hope - is that these campers learn that God has a plan for each of their lives but the only way to know and follow His plan for us is to know and follow Him.

Our Hope - is that these teens will serve and give to other kids in similar situations -- just as they have been served and received by our camp volunteers.
